Description

Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking a Project Engineer to provide supportive services for our government client.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and update engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct site surveys, facility walk-throughs, and condition assessments.
  • Review design packages, submittals, and as-built documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide technical support during design reviews, construction activities, and project closeout.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and recommend technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Skilled in performing a wide range of advanced, complex tasks across multiple engineering disciplines, with expertise in designing and integrating projects throughout all phases of the lifecycle.
  • Experienced in reviewing and validating concept plan documents to ensure full compliance with DHS engineering, design, and construction standards, regulatory requirements, and mandated guidelines.
  • Background in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of new Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) as well as upgrades and renovations of existing secure facilities.
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field).
  • Must have 12 years of project engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years supporting Federal engineering initiatives.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, schematics, and technical plans.
  • Experience developing and writing technical specifications, design criteria, and project documentation.
  • Experience conducting site surveys, facility walk-throughs, and condition assessments.
  • Familiarity with coordinating design reviews, submittals, and as-built documentation.
  • Ability to support field inspections and project closeout activities.

Primary work location: Remote | Arlington, VA
