Job Description: Medical Records Analyst
Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking a Medical Records Analyst to provide supportive services for our client. This position will be performed remotely.
The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:
- Assist in validating Authorization to Release Information including retrieving and reviewing requests for compliance with regulations and processing requests.
- Assist in processing requests for information from SSA.
- Ensure all documents are identified with the required patient demographic data and compliant with regulations.
- Perform electronic file maintenance, including clearing old files and transferring authorized documents to permanent locations.
- Utilize MHS GENESIS, legacy systems, and Health information Archive (HIA) to execute the release of information requests.
- Assist with preparing the bi-weekly and monthly Statistical Data Reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Able to pass a Tier 1 (T1) Public Trust background investigation.
- 3-5 years of experience analyzing and processing medical records within the DoD/DHA.
- Must possess an accredited associate’s degree or higher in a related field (preferred).
- Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Extensive knowledge/experience using the Military Health System (MHS) and understanding of military culture.
- Experience/knowledge of the Release of Information (ROI) within the DoD.

Travel Expectations: Travel is not required for this position.
